Future Day at JUST

As part of National Future Day, JUST once again opened its doors to young explorers from grades 5 to 7, giving them an exciting glimpse into the working world at JUST. The goal of Future Day is to bring children closer to their parents' workplaces and broaden their horizons regarding career choices. Emilia (aged 11) tells us how she experienced her Future Day.

A Day Full of Discoveries and Inspiration at JUST!

The Future Day initiative provides young people with hands-on insights into various professions and fields of work – not solely focusing on their desired future career but encouraging them to explore entirely new areas, free from rigid gender stereotypes.

“We even got to go into the lab where the creams are made. There, we created our own shower gel!”

From an interactive tour of our production facilities, museum, and cinema in the JUST World, to crafting personalized shower gels in our lab, and exploring the various workplaces of their accompanying adults – the young visitors had the chance to experience firsthand how diverse and exciting working at JUST is.

Find out how 11-year-old Emilia experienced the day and what highlights impressed her most in her own words below:

Experience Report by Emilia (Age 11):

“First, I had to wake up very early, and then my aunt picked me up. We drove to JUST in my aunt’s car. Then I joined the other kids in the JUST cinema. We had to answer a few questions about the movie using a kind of mobile device, and we could collect Edelweiss points. We had to do the same in the museum. After visiting the museum and cinema, we were given a tour of the company. Later, we even got to go into the lab where the creams are made. There, we created our own shower gel. I chose a winter scent. We were even allowed to decorate the shower gel – I chose shimmering silver. We couldn’t go into the lab in our regular clothes; we had to wear lab coats and shoe covers. It looked really funny. Then it was lunchtime, and we went to a pizzeria across the street. Afterwards, I joined my aunt, interviewed her, and also spoke with two of her colleagues. Then I got to help out a little in the office. That was my Future Day!”

We are proud to be part of this valuable initiative and hope to have sparked some inspiration for future careers.

Save the Date! National Future Day takes place every year on the second Thursday in November. We’re already looking forward to welcoming you next year and sharing an exciting day filled with insights and discoveries!
